Terms of service
The agreement between you and Talli when you use the app to find a dish and place an order.
Last updated 11 September 2026.
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and Talli. By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
Talli is a platform: we put restaurants and the people who want their food in front of each other. The restaurant prepares and sells the food and is responsible for it — for what is in it, for how it is handled, and for holding the licences that let it trade. That is a real distinction and not a disclaimer: it decides who you take a complaint about the food to first.
Your account
- You need to be 18 or over.
- What you tell us about yourself has to be true — an address that is not yours is a meal that goes to a stranger.
- Your sign-in details are yours to keep. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has them, and change your password: doing so signs every other device out.
- You can order without an account. If you do, we have no way to show you that order later, so keep the confirmation.
How ordering works
Some restaurants take orders inside the app. For others, the order is handed over as a prefilled WhatsApp message that you send to the restaurant yourself — in that case the agreement to sell you the food is made in that conversation, and Talli is not part of it.
Placing an order in the app is an offer to buy, not a concluded sale. The restaurant may refuse it — an ingredient has run out, the kitchen has closed, the address is outside its range. If it does, you are charged nothing.
There is no payment inside Talli. You pay the restaurant or the rider directly, on delivery. We do not take card details and we do not hold money on anyone’s behalf.
Prices, fees and tax
The price on a dish is the price you pay for it. Where an offer applies, the discounted price and what it saves you are both shown before you confirm, and the total on the confirmation screen is the amount the restaurant will ask for.
Talli charges you no delivery fee and no service fee, and adds nothing to the total after you confirm it. If that ever changes, every charge will be itemised on the checkout screen before you confirm — never afterwards.
Prices are in UAE dirhams and include VAT where the restaurant is registered for it. The restaurant, not Talli, issues any tax invoice, because the restaurant is who you are buying from.
A price can change between the moment you put something in your basket and the moment you confirm — an offer ends, a restaurant reprices its menu. If the total has moved, we tell you and ask you to confirm the new one rather than charging a number you did not agree to.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel your own order from the order page up to the moment the kitchen starts preparing it. After that the food is being made and it is too late, because somebody has already bought the ingredients and used them.
A restaurant can cancel an order it cannot fulfil, and has to say why. You receive that reason by email.
Because payment happens directly between you and the restaurant, any refund is settled between you and the restaurant. If the food never arrived, arrived cold, or was not what you ordered, tell us as well — see below.
Delivery
Deliveries are made by independent riders, not employees of Talli. A rider is shown the delivery area when a job is offered and your full address only once they have accepted it.
Delivery times shown in the app are estimates. Traffic, weather and a busy kitchen all move them, and none of the three is something we control.
If you list a restaurant
- You need a valid trade licence and the food-safety approvals for what you sell, and they need to stay valid while you are listed.
- What you publish has to describe what you actually serve: the photograph, the description, the allergen information and the price.
- You are responsible for the food from the moment it is prepared to the moment it is handed over.
- You keep your menu and your availability current. A dish that cannot be ordered should not be listed as if it can.
- We can suspend a listing that breaks these terms or that generates complaints we cannot resolve, and we will tell you why.
What you may not do
- Order food you have no intention of accepting, or give an address that is not a real delivery address.
- Abuse, threaten or harass a rider, a restaurant or our staff.
- Try to break, overload or probe the service, or get at data that is not yours.
- Scrape the catalogue, or copy it to build something else.
- Pretend to be somebody else, or list a restaurant you have no right to list.
Content and intellectual property
The app, its design and the software behind it belong to us. Photographs, videos and menu text published by a restaurant belong to that restaurant, which grants us the right to show them inside Talli and to use them to promote its own listing. If you upload something, it has to be yours to upload.
What we are and are not responsible for
We are responsible for the platform working as described. We are not the cook: the quality, the safety and the accuracy of the food is the restaurant’s, and how a delivery is carried out is the rider’s.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that UAE law does not allow to be limited — including anything involving death or personal injury, or fraud.
Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, write to [email protected] with the order and what happened.
We acknowledge a complaint within 3 working days and aim to resolve it within 7, in line with the Dubai guidelines for online food delivery platforms. If we cannot resolve it ourselves, we will tell you who can — that may be the restaurant, or the Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Talli and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why unless telling you would get in the way of an investigation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as they apply in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the service changes, and the date at the top changes with it. For a change that affects you materially we will say so in the app before it takes effect. How we handle your personal data is set out separately, in the privacy notice.
